Anyone, regardless of age, wealth or affiliation, can leave a legacy.
The Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Philadelphia is dedicated to ensuring the long-term sustainability of our local Jewish institutions through endowment-building. That's why, we've partnered with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation since 2023 to provide a simple and structured way for organizations in our community to build their endowments. Our cohort consists of 13 synagogues, day schools, and social service providers. Link to listing or embed names here. (four across the page in four rows?) As of February 2026, the Life & Legacy Philadelphia initiative has generated gifts from 460 individuals, and $15 million in legacy gifts for our community.

About Life & Legacy
Life & Legacy® is a partnership of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia that promotes after-lifetime giving to benefit local Jewish day schools, synagogues, social service organizations and other Jewish entities.
By creating a legacy gift through one or more of these organizations, you can preserve the programs and organizations that support Jewish life in Greater Philadelphia, express values instilled in you from previous generations and perpetuate the Jewish traditions you cherish.
